Race Report West Head Handicap

With a strong field of 50+ riders spread over A to D grade and a brand new course which now has the southern turn around the west head road gates rather than the tight witches hat (yes that means over the little berg) the Handicapper had a tough time splitting the riders into 6 groups.

Manly Warringah Club Race - 3 April

West Head Club Race will be held on 3rd April at West Head. Race format will be a graded handicap so will be plenty of fun. Turn up at 7:15am for sign on. The Fixed Wheel Van will be set up for mechanical requirements and we will also have the Eload/Emend Van there to set up a hydro station for you to sample our awesome products.

The importance of smooth power when sprinting! This mornings session was a sprint session. One of the boys commented on his front wheel lifting off the ground when doing the sprints. It is not uncommon but it is important to keep the body weight balanced and the pedal stroke smoother. Try a smaller gear with higher cadence so you are not pulling as hard. It also gives you a faster acceleration.
