Yes, Bowral has a new local bike shop, complete with state-of-the-art workshop and full service centre. Well-known local cyclist and Bowral Classic ambassador Harry Kooros is one of the the staff members at the store, the likeable young rider thrilled to have a new LBS in his home town.
To be open 6 days a week from Tuesday to Sunday, owner John McGill said the region was crying out for a high-quality local bike shop.
“After the McGee’s store shut down 2-years ago I bit the bullet and thought I’ve got to start one up,” said John, prior to the launch of the new store.
“I’ve got the Fixed Wheel in Manly, and have also lived in the Southern Highlands for 14 years so it’s a natural fit,” he added.
Professional Staff & The Top Brands
“The area needs a professional bike shop, professional staff, and people who really know what they are doing. We’ll have Focus, Cervelo, Kalkhoff, Gazelle, Pinarello and Trek. We have a range of road, electric bikes, mountain bikes – and have demo MTB’s & Pinarellos available to test. We will also be trading in second hand bikes on new bikes.”
